Thanks to your support of the hiking event we organized in May, the intended target was reached, and the installations of acoustical materials at St. Charbel orphanage's study room, were achieved.
The room consists of a large space in the basement of the orphanage and it was once full of echo, which prevented the students from studying in a pleasant environment. The study environment is in fact a big factor in how successfully students learn and retain information; and from now on, the kids at the Saint Charbel orphanage will be able to focus on their daily tasks without distractions from the loud sounds and echoes, previously present in the room.
On June 11, 2017, we visited the orphanage in Baabdath, to celebrate the completion of the works. We spent the afternoon with the kids, and provided them with snacks and entertainment.
This project is part of Hayda Baytak's Orphanage Equipment missions, and is in collaboration with Rotaract Club of Sahel Metn - Lebanon

Unlike past mass extinctions, caused by events like asteroid strikes, volcanic eruptions, and natural climate shifts, the current crisis is almost entirely caused by us — humans.
IT'S THIS SUNDAY!

"Aside from wearing a single paperclip on their lapels, they also fashioned various paperclip accessories like bracelets. The bracelets were the popular symbols which showed that Norwegians were symbolically bonded together in face of adversity."
The 59-year-old author Jean-Paul Sartre declined the Nobel Prize in Literature, which he was awarded in October 1964. He said he always refused official distinctions and did not want to be "institutionalised".
While the most popular volunteering activities remain: collecting food (23.8%), helping out with transportation (19.85%) and teaching (17.9%)... other less explicit activities go unheard of. Today we would like to thank all those who have helped us ensure the right learning environment for the kids that have crossed our path:
From volunteering in our events, to donating, to attending, to providing us with free or discounted services or even giving us heartfelt advice and promoting our endeavors... you have made our journey possible and evermore beautiful!
In later years however, the Fisher Pen Company reportedly invested $1 million to create what is now commonly known as the "space pen" particularly because wood, graphite, and rubber (in the eraser) are flammable.
Some of the proceeds will be donated to Hayda Baytak. #TechOnGrass #MosaikEvents

Roughly because, as Lavoisier puts it: "Rien ne se perd, rien ne se crée, tout se transforme" ("Nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed.").
Well, that is if you're looking at the glass half full. From another standpoint, what's at stake is that due to climate change, pollution and other factors, "fresh water available for human consumption" is what's becoming scarce.

If he hadn't done so, the father of the French Positivist Thought and the man who founded the discipline of "#sociology", wouldn't have been able to financially sustain his works as an independent philosopher. What a loss that would've been!
